Cheney and his shotgun

Finding shots to take after "The Cheney wings fellow-hunter" story should be as easy as shooting fish in a barrel. But I guess I'm brain-dead. All I've managed so far is:

-- Good thing he got all those deferments during Vietnam or the "friendly fire" casualty total would have been a lot higher.

-- I'll bet Scooter Libby will never go hunting with him.

-- It's kind of like his Iraq policy -- shoot first and worry about the consequences later.

Yeah, yeah ... all kind of lame. So what do you have?

No fair waiting til the late night comics chime in before contributing.

Comments

Unfortunately, my offerings are not original, but gleaned from outsidethebeltway.com:

1. Dick Cheney, doing his part to end the Social Security crises;

2. Blast it! Bad intelligence again!

i read this story posted on cnn.com at the below link.
Hunter wounded by Cheney 'doing well'
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/02/13/cheney/index.html

They say...

Peter Banko told CNN that Harry Wittington, 78, took "quite a bit of spray"....also...
Armstrong, who was with the group when the accident occurred, said Whittington was "peppered" with birdshot.

I say...

"What we got here is a failure to communicate!"
"quite a bit of spray", "peppered" with birdshot? what were they hunting with, squirt guns or salt and pepper shakers? Drop the politically correct bull!
He was shot in the face....by a shotgun!!

They say...

He was hit upon rejoining the group and "apparently came up unannounced" as Cheney prepared to fire.

I say...

"What we got here is a failure to communicate!
What was Whittington thinking?
Next time while in the bushes make sure you shake them bushes and yell out..
"Still shakin´ it, boss, still shakin´. I´m shakin´ it, boss."

They say...

Similar accidents occur "not frequently, but often" among hunters in the area, Salinas said.

I say...

"What we got here is a failure to communicate!"
I'll spell it out... O-x-y-M-O-R-O-N-S

They say...

He said an ambulance was posted at the ranch while Cheney visited and took Whittington to the hospital.

I say...

"What we got here is a failure to communicate!"
The next time you're invited to go hunting and they bring along an ambulance....turn around and just go home! Probably wouldn't hurt to right out a generous campaign check first.

Strikes me as frightening rather than laughable. Dick needs to worry about his karma.

Cheney's been killing people vicariously through his reckless invasion of Iraq, maybe he just wanted to experience the "real deal" just once.
